2018 HSA World Cup Spring Season Overview

Season begins Sunday, April 8
Registration for the spring season opens February 5th

PLEASE NOTE: Players and Teams will NOT be promoted an age group this spring. A Fall 2017 U10 team will play in the U10 age group during Spring 2018 Season.

Spring Season is designed to provide an opportunity for beginning players to experience the fun and excitement of the great game of soccer and for established players to maintain their touch and fitness while enjoying friendly competition.

  • 8-game season (Sundays). First game is April 8; Last game is June 10.
    No Games on Mother's Day or on Memorial Day holiday weekend.
  • Age groups: U-06 to U-12
  • Spring Fee: $65 for U-06 to U-12 players.
  • Includes World Cup jersey.
  • All home games will be played at local HIghline fields and away at West Seattle fields
  • Spring Coaches Meeting - 6:30pm Wednesday, April 4th @ Burien Library
  • Registration Begins February 5th
  • Registration closes March 10 (late registrations placed on wait list)

Spring Season 2018 FAQ's

What Ages Can Participate?

  • Players Register by Birth Year
  • U-06 (Players must be under 6 during 2017) through U-12 (players must be Under 12 during 2017)
  • New This Spring: We will NOT promote players and teams during our 2018 spring season. For example, if your player participated in the U-08 age group during the recent fall season, you will register your player for the same U-08 age group this spring.
  • NOTE: older teams, view 2018 spring league options HERE.

How Much Does It Cost To Play?

  • $65 for U-06 to U-12 players (Refs provided for U-08 and older games; coach/player training provided for U-06 & U-07 age groups)
  • Includes World Cup jersey

When Will Games Be Played?

  • View Schedules. (To be posted on or by March 28th)
  • All games for the Spring 2018 season will be played on Sundays - April 8, 15, 22, 29; May 6, 20; June 3, 10
  • No games on Mother's Day (May 13) and Memorial Day Weekend (May 27)

Where Will Games Be Played? (Tentative assignments - Spring 2018)

What Time Will Games Be Played?

  • All games begin at 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3;30pm, and (if necessary) 5:00pm
  • Schedules to be posted a week prior to first game.

Are The Rules Different During The Spring?

  • We will be playing with the same rules we use during the Fall Season for age groups U-06 to U-12.
  • 3-goal Courtesy Rule. A team down 3 goals may add a player.
  • No heading U-11 and younger

  • Review the Registration Overview page follow the link at the bottom of the page to register. If you have participated in our program previously, you'll have an existing user account. If you are new to our club, you'll need to set up a new account. If you have difficulty with our registration system, please contact us at info.highlinesc@gmail.com

I am interested in Coaching, how do I register?

  • Review the Coaches Corner page and click the link in the right margin of the page to register.
  • New to coaching? Our spring season is the perfect time to jump in. There are no required practices and for younger teams (coed U-06 and U-07) HSA provides a short training session prior to each Sunday game led by professional trainers who will guide you and provide fun and age-appropriate activities.
