UPDATED 04/08/2020 11:30am: 2020 HSC Spring League and COVID-19

Highline Soccer Club (HSC) Families,

Highline Soccer Club (HSC) is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and doing everything we can to provide information and make decisions in the best interest of our membership and community. Safety is our priority, and we are following the directives of our federal, state, and local governments as we continue to navigate this crisis.

  • In accordance with WYS and Governor Inslee's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order, all in-person HSC activities will be postponed until after May 4th. Let us do our part to keep ourselves and our communities healthy and thriving amidst this health crisis by following the social distancing guidelines.
  • South Sound United League (SSUL U13 - U18) CANCELED 2020 Spring Season. On April 6th SSUL announced: As many of you are aware, yesterday Governor Inslee announced that all schools in the state are to remain closed through the end of the academic school year. Based on this information, the SSUL Board has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Spring recreational soccer season.  The SSUL had previously announced an adjusted schedule in anticipation of schools opening April 27th and receiving guidance that it was safe to play soccer again. The extended closure of schools is an indication that it is not expected to be safe to resume regular group activities within our adjusted spring schedule. Furthermore, without the availability of school fields the majority of clubs do not have facilities and space available to make practices or games feasible for the season.
HSC will provide 100% refund of the player registration fees. Refunds will be credited to the credit card used for the initial registration fee. We expect to have all refunds completed within 1-2 weeks, as the refunds need to be processed individually.
  • HSA Spring Champions League (U06 - U12) TBA, currently postponed the start of the season until the weekend of May 2nd/3rd at the earliest (please note this was set prior to Governor Inslee's latest mandate). We hope to have an abbreviated season up and running as soon as it is safe to do so, while following all applicable public health guidance. If the decision is made to cancel the season, full refunds of player registration fees will be processed.
  • North Puget Sound League CANCELED March matches and will not reschedule. HSC has processed a 50% refund of the player registration fees.
  • Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) suspended all training & games until after April 30th
  • Highline Premier FC announced Friday Night Soccer Skills Camps are postponed pending the reopening of all Seattle City Parks
  • Coaches, players and parents should follow the guidance from:
Conditions with this Global Pandemic are fluid and we anticipate changes will be required. We are monitoring the situation and will communicate updates and Spring Season details as soon as possible.

We would like to reiterate that the Health and Safety of our players and members is paramount. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]
