It is important to use the exact same legal name and email address in all places. Registration on the HSC Website will be done during your player registration. If you do not have a player please create an account as a volunteer and then register for the age group in which you would like to coach.
Safe Sports Act - For NEW Coaches
Early in 2018, Congress passed the Safe Sport Authorization Act requiring specialized training for all volunteers working with young athletes nationwide. All Risk Management will expire on April 30th of each year beginning this year. . The online training is now ready for us to take part. All coaches, board members, and volunteers with in our organization will be required to take these courses.
The three 30-minute training modules including Sexual Misconduct Awareness, Mandatory Reporting and Emotional and physical misconduct can be found here at the SafeSport website.

Please complete this training as soon as possible upload you certificates in your account in affinity. If you took the course last year there is a refresher course in your account at https://safesport.org/authentication/signin.
The initial training will take approximately 2 hours in total and you can log in and out of the system as many times as necessary to complete – your progress will be saved each time.
Concussion:
Every year, each WA Youth Soccer coach/assistant coach/team manager must complete an online concussion prevention program. Save the certificate to upload into your BGC (Background Check) in that step
Sudden Cardiac Arrest:
Every three years, each WA Youth Soccer coach/assistant coach/team manager must complete an online Sudden Cardiac Arrest prevention program Save the certificate to upload into your BGC (Background Check) in that step
Washington Youth Soccer Background Check

3. Choose Play level "Background Check"
4. Enter information and Upload Safesport Certificate
5. Check all the boxes and sign.
6. Submit BGC once. You will receive and email when this step is completed.
WYS Background Check
No coach will be allowed to start holding practice or tryouts if the Background Check (BGC) is not completed. This background check must be completed once every soccer season. Please follow the information below and remember to enter your legal name the same way in all Web sites. An email will be sent at the time that is good to start this.
