UPDATED 03/20/2020 10:00pm: 2020 HSC Spring Season and COVID-19

Highline Soccer Club Families,

Highline Soccer Club (HSC) is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and doing everything we can to provide information and make decisions in the best interest of our membership and community. Safety is our priority, and we are following the directives of our federal, state, and local governments as we continue to navigate this crisis. On March 13, 2020, Washington State Governor, Jay Inslee, directed ALL Washington schools to close through at least April 24th to contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) now affecting our region.

Here is what we know impacting HSC:

  • Games for the HSA Spring Champions League & SSUL were due to start the weekend of April 18th/19th and practices are always optional; HSC does not reserve practice fields in Spring. HSA & SSUL will postpone the start of the season until the weekend of May 2nd/3rd at the earliest. We still hope to have an abbreviated season up and running as soon as it is safe to do so, while following all applicable public health guidance.
  • North Puget Sound League postponed all matches until after April 1st
  • Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) suspended all training & games until April 1st
  • Highline Premier FC announced Friday Night Soccer Skills Camps are postponed until after April 13th, pending the reopening of Seattle City Parks
  • All Highline School District Locations - all rentals are CANCELED, beginning March 13th, earliest back for facility rentals is April 27th, subject to change.
  • City of Burien Parks - all park-related rentals are CANCELED, closure between March 16th and May 1st.
  • City of SeaTac Parks - starting March 16th all parks and facilities will be closed until further notice.
  • In accordance with WYS and effective immediately, all in-person HSC activities will be postponed until after April 24th. Let's do our part to keep ourselves and our communities healthy and thriving amidst this health crisis by following the social distancing guidelines.
  • Coaches, players and parents should follow the guidance from:

Conditions with this Global Pandemic are fluid and we anticipate changes will be required. We are monitoring the situation and will communicate updates and Spring Season details as soon as possible.
